I generally don't mind the double bagged MREs, though I once had a Sopakco one where the inner bag was sealed and cut over a spot where the main was overlapping. My medium box arrived yesterday and I am quite happy with it. It had a few things I know and love, a TON of things I've been curious to try, and a really great surprise. I'm being sent camping for Mother's Day and my food situation is going to be extra nice now.

My personal favorite is Menu 20 (hash brown potatoes, bacon, peppers and onions). Menu 10 (chili Mac) is a close second.

My experience is pretty limited, as I am new to the hobby. I've tried 5 or so US MREs, 2 RCIRs and some random French and British components. So far I'm a big fan of most components of the RCIR. The mains are always surprisingly delicious, the pates are great (I wish this was more popular in the US)...

Well, small or not I definitely want to try it!

It's 280 calories (29g carbs, 12g fat, 10g protein). Seems pretty comparable to other MRE main entrees.
