bad candy
When I tasted the York milk caramels, in my 86 MRE ,I posted a wee bit fast. They left a soapy residue in my mouth. And I ended up throwing two of them out (out of five). In retrospect, they were not edible, and based on my also chucking out a piece of Early '94 candy (Snickers Munch bar) , I guess ...

peanut butter
Here is an addendum to my post: I forgot the spoon! Five inches long, white and so cute I'm keeping it. The crackers were fresh, well, as fresh as they ever get. They have striations, not those dumb little notches like on modern MRE crackers. They broke evenly, not any old which way. The peanut butt...

1986 MRE taste test
I figured that since I'm sending Norge a few of these, I'd better check them out. I tried Ham and Chicken Loaf with Bean Component. Pack date of this case was 6231. I picked the HCLBC because it sounded more disgusting than the rest. I apologize for having no pictures. The meal was packed by Right A...
thanks
For nine bucks, I bought it. There's also free shipping.
Thanks!
Thanks!
cookbook
While I was stooging around book seller's sites, I came across this little gem. "MRExcellence: Your guide to making ordinary military MRE's" (as opposed to McDonald's MRE's) "extraordinary!" It's by Vicki Walters, was published in 1997 by Western Reserve Foods. 172 pages, spiral bound. It goes for $...

I think Cajunangel deserves a new post!
If I didn't know she was female she'd have Godzilla-sized balls. Sure I'd like to pay $90 when one jump up on ebay you can get 'em for $72. And of course her bid price is exactly the same as her buy it now price. And she wants "serious bidders only". What bonehead is going to bid $90.01? And she's s...

$70 million? I'll bet you could get a couple dozen MRE cases, even with ebay's shipping bandits
