Anyone ever try the Country Captain Chicken?

I've been reading so much about how awful it was, just curious to see if anyone was ever stuck with one.

Freezing rations

We've got a nice supply at home, and we live in Louisiana, which is fairly well-known for its humidity and damp weather. They're all well within date, but do you guys think it would be a good idea to freeze them, maybe to help keep them longer in case a SERIOUS emergency pops up? :?: :?: :?: :?:

Re: Cigarettes & alcohol

Hi! Italy still has the cordial in their rations, 40° licour, I think they are the only ones that still do... I have one for sale of these BTW if you are interested And don't worry if your question is silly or not! Just ask it anyway, there is always someone who will learn from it and someone who w...

Cigarettes & alcohol

I know the US stopped putting ciggies in their rations in the early 70's, but does anyone know of any countries that still have them in theirs? Or any countries that provide a portion of alcohol, at least for a cold climate ration (I know Italy had cordial in one of their ration types, but I'm not s...

Re: Where has the Tabasco gone?

i cant say about the sturdyness, since small glass is usually pretty sturdy, but since its a two piece item, the bottle and the cap, its more prone to failure than a package, also, the bottle alone probably already costs more than the whole sachet of tabasco... and well, every cent counts when you ...

Re: Where has the Tabasco gone?

The bottles were heavy, leaky, and probably quite expensive. Packets of all kinds of hot sauce can be bought from any fast food chain supply by the bazillion. And variety is good. Well I don't know about what the military paid for them, but the little bottles we get from the plant when we go on a t...

Where has the Tabasco gone?

Did they lose the contract for Tabasco in US rations? I don't see the iconic bottles anymore, just packets of generic hot sauce

Re: 2018 Menu #23 Pepperoni Pizza Slice

We go to our local Commissary at Alvin Callendar in Belle Chasse, LA to do our shopping, and I always ask my father to check for the pizza menu MRE. Never seems to see one. (We like to keep a healthy amount of MRE's in the house, since we get hit by so many hurricanes in Louisiana.) I watched your r...
