MRE's from Be Prepared

This looks to be one of the best prices I've seen for a case of MRE's. It almost seems too good to be true, which is why I am posting it here for the experts to view.

I guess my main issue is that ebay seems to be the place that could most likely be where most of the shady dealings take place. I always find discomfort in sellers that do not put the straight forward facts with their listings. Including the most basic of things like test dates, etc. forcing you to ...

I've been piling these up in my emergency storage pantry. Although they have a use by date of about 2 or so years from purchase, My thought is that they may last a bit longer than that.

What do others think?

You're all OBSESSED!!!

MRE date coding, and calories ???

Is there a away to decode the numbers on the MRE packaging to figure out when it was actually packed? I'm talking about the numbers on the individual items - entre, sides, etc. Also, when calculating the calories of a complete MRE meal, does the total calorie content include ALL of the items in the ...

I finally dug into this MRE. Over all it was rather tastey for being over 10 years old. - The crackers were surprisingly crisp and the cheese stood the test of time as well - The chocolate cookie was good as well - The main entre (beef Stew) was not to bad. As far as really old food goes, I'd say it...

My first MRE!!!

A co-worker of mine who was in the military dropped off this surprise on my desk this morning. It seems to be a Beef Stew MRE from 1995. I am a bit hesitant to try it being 12 years old, so I am looking for some feedback from others who may have eaten MRE's this old? Keep in mind, this particular MR...
