Dutch 24hr cold weather ration expiry
So I've got a Dutch 24hr cold weather ration, everything's freeze dried I believe. I'm generally just wondering about how safe it is to eat the things inside. The expiry's from May of 2016, so just about three years out, and I've tried to keep everything as cold as possible, but my room's been warme...

Re: Menu 24 Filled with air?
I wouldn't be too worried. I had the same thing happen recently but the ration was completely fine. I've experienced rations that were full of air like a balloon, some that had a small amount of air, and some that had the air pulled out of them (as if they were vacuum sealed) Ah, sweet, that's a lo...

Menu 24 Filled with air?
Hey there. I've had a menu 24 Southwest beef and black beans MRE for a little while now, possibly over a year, and I noticed after moving it that it seems quite airy. I genuinely can't remember if it was like this when I got it, it was a good while back now. It's still sealed, the bag is intact. It'...

Re: Question about ration storage
I've got a few MREs sitting and I don't have a proper storage area, I'm currently keeping the room cold with a fan constantly blowing air into my collection. My question is would it be an idea to store MREs and other rations in a fridge? I've got some extra cash to buy a ration fridge, but I don't ...

Re: Dutch 24 hour ration from 2016
The Pate's look normal for me, they dont appear to be bloated, its normal that they are filled to the brim and beyond. The Mains also look pretty normal to me, but to be sure you should smell them first before tasting, if they smell off (sour or rancid), you should be careful with it. The Mains are...

Dont think that it has gone bad yet, after only 2 years, unless it stood out in the desert sun for the last 2 years
