Re: Wife "You don't need anymore MREs!!!"

A Radio show / Podcast I listen to has a philosophy related to this called, "The Three Prices You Pay"

The Three Prices You Pay are defined as:
1 - The price you actually paid.
2 - The price you told "her" you paid
3 - The price you pay when she finds out the actual price you paid

Re: Watch Caps

I agree jfko6 Also, I wonder if they considered flammability into the equation. 100% Polyester fabrics can be dangerous when exposed to excessive heat and flame. They do not ignite easily but once aflame, hard to put out and creates a hot flaming melty mess (AKA, super-ouch). I hope they are supplyi...

Re: Strange places where you found MREs

When I was a teenager back in the 80's, I was picking up dog poop with a friend in his back yard. I found a C-ration can of scrambled eggs and ham buried in the ground. I ate it. Does that count? When you say, "I ate it", I really hope you were referring to the buried can of scrambled eggs and not ...

Re: New MRE's from MRE Nation

I just placed an order myself on MRE Nation. Sadly he is now out of stock of all his Extreme line but I got many separate components that I've been wanting to try and I made my own custom MRE. It's a genius idea and he has been able to source items above and beyond the standard US mains.

(And in a pinch, I can still use the salt water in my eyes, too.)
Don't forget that it also works quite well directly applied to your enemies wounds.

Steamed pork got the USDA stamp of approval? Interesting and confusing. Maybe something to do with steam prep?

Re: Canadian Mil Ration Podcast Episode

This is the latest episode (~26 minutes) of a Canadian defence reporter's podcast, focusing on rations ... [ Just spotted it, so I haven't listened yet, but thought you'd might enjoy it. Thanks, that was very interesting. I do have to agree that the canadians have very good meals as I have been luc...
