Wow, it looks like a lot of cool stuff. I'm sorry I missed the show. Especially since I'm only a few hours away in DC.

Re: First strike sandwich
Yep, my order is on its way too, along with a few other snacks. If only the shipping were cheaper to the East Coast.

Re: FDA urges people to avoid peanut butter products
It looks like the bad peanut butter has gotten into some FEMA released MRE's (non-military.) Just in case anyone here got ahold of some of these from the ice storms in Ky, here is a link to the article about the recall. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/02/05/AR2009020500743....

In looking around at this book, I came across a whole section of MRE images. This may have already been noted, but I'll list it here again, just in case.

I typically share one with two of my sons (5 and 7) while we are hiking, so one MRE tends to be kind of light for the three of us. But havin said that, some of the items don't seem that ...

MRE Menu C ... getem' while they last
Gentlemen (I use that term loosely) I thought everyone would like to know that in talking to Steven at MREDepot today, he said they are down to less than one weeks worth of Menu C's. He also said that while he has an order in for two more railcars worth of 2008 Menu C's, he is having trouble getting...

That would explain why none of the coupon codes worked when I ordered from them. I hope they keep them going; I get tired of searching ebay for someone with reasonable shipping. And I had been buying them at the commissary at Walter Reed, but they went up to $10/ea for some reason. That is too much ...
