I just had a friend give me seven MREs from 2012. His Son in Law (special forces guy) bought him a case, he doesn't seem to like MREs so he gave me what he didn't eat. Not sure if I want to eat them now, or save them for a future time. If you have freezer space, freeze em and they'll last a lot lon...

A couple years ago I had an MRE from 1987, it was prety good! Amazing? Not really... Still VERY edible!

Easily in my opinion the Pork rib was my favorite but some of the newer entrees sound pretty good, but I have never tried them. Need to grab a couple cases of these newer MRE's for sure!

Perhaps not "ideal" after some of the crap we ate in the field, we'd pretty much eat anything. That being said to me the snack bread is pretty good! I haven't tried a Canadian IRP but their bread looks pretty good as well. If there was an "off" flavor I would think maybe improper storage and it was ...
