It might be a tad trickier to clean, but a good quality hobo tool type of deal may get the trick done. I don't recommend the Ozark Trail ones though - the quality just isn't there at all.

After cooking an MRE meal, I used them while squid fishing this season and stuck it into an outer coat pocket. It kept warm for quite a while.
