I thought the deer pate tasted like plain old "deviled ham" we had back in the day, ( the on in the pink wrapper ). I didn't heat it up, I should have thought of that.

Love the bars, pate de fruits is the best IMHO.

The chocolate biscuits are very nice, sweet and chocolate-y. Big surprise to me is that the other biscuit types are also sweet. In fact I don't taste anything but the sweetness. I totally love the pate de fruits bars, those are SO good ! I also enjoy the other bars, "commando barre" and nougat bars....

I've had the anchovy and deer pate in my 2 RCIRs. Surprisingly, I liked the anchovy much better than the deer. The deer just tasted like the old "deviled ham" cans we used to buy in the store. The anchovy pate had an interesting taste that wasn't as nasty overall as I expected.
