Re: Type X Ration

Yes, I surmised something along those lines .., but again what strategic advantage is there to removing the markings? Or put another way, what were they trying to hide, and who were they trying to hide that ... whatever it was ... from? I'm at a loss to come up with anything. Simply to hide where t...

Re: Found this Canadian Ration

Not sure what this is exactly but looks kinda like a lifeboat ration or flight ration. at $45, I have no plans to buy it. But wouldn't mind knowing what it is. production date 30th day of 1945? Ration1.jpgRation2.jpgRation3.jpg It's a WW2 Royal Canadian Navy survival ration. And yes most of the one...

Re: Boxes from Canada today--IMPs!

Thanks for the review. I am curious how you mixed the protein drink? I find the flavour always a little off too, but the problem most people have with them is that they do not mix them right. It's normal for the ketchup to be puffy. It's not unusual to be sort of thick, I think your ketchup was prob...

Re: Where Do you get Canadian IMPs in the U.S.?

I dont' really "sell" them but if I had time and money I'd send some out also have lots of extras like about 50 of the beverage bags a number of the napkins, condiemnts, coffee, fruit drinks, etc. I'd say I'm more of a stockpiler and documenter of Canadian IMP's, not a seller. If I was a seller, I'd...

Re: Any Ideas?? Canadian IMP

Hi guys, I have been away for some time, I coulda cleared all this up, It's: 1-7 breakfast 8-14 lunch 15-21-supper they usually repeat 1 breakfast, this is typical. each year cycles to the next breakfast item and that one repeats as #7. I have never found any differences between them. (If you do fin...

Re: 2015 Canadian IMP Menu# 19: Chipotle Chicken Carbonara

Nice review but don't ever microwave anything in these IMPs, especially the retort pouch, it is laminated metal and plastic, and that will cause problems! I suggest eating them cold, or boiling the bag, nothing else, but do not use the water you boil the pouch in as water for coffee or other hot dri...

Re: Canadian IMP Thoughts

I try all of the IMP's I get at least once cold, with only hot water for the hot drink and/or where required, IE potatoes. It's definitely edible, and out in the field, it would be great still even cold.. athough.. I have to admit, I am not generally the pickiest person out there about food being hot.

Re: 2013 Canadian IMP: Lasagna Review

Thanks for the review, I'm with you, I do not feel the lasagna is one of the stronger offerings in the IMP lineup. But some of the items with it are great, I like the dessert it comes with. The address you linked is part of the Forces internal only network, which is why you can not connect to it, fi...
