Re: New guy here
Congrats on the new job and incoming baby! It's okay for the delay, it seems that I, too have been busy with a new job and post-secondary education. I hope you're friend is safe in Afghanistan, it's a whole other world over there! As for the rations for helicopter flight crews, I thought they were ...

Re: Finally picked up a new Carbine...
My trusty coyote hunting rifle, H&K SL8-4 in .223 and my moose-hunting medicine, Beretta M1 Garand in .30-06, Danish Army issued. That H&K is one beautiful rifle! Oh hell yes. Heavy bull-barrel makes it a tack driver. This is my back-up Moose rifle in case something happens to the Garand......

Re: New hash brown MRE
Do you mean "Hash Brown Potatoes with Bacon, Peppers, and Onions"? I've had the entree only, and believe that someone else here has as well as I pointed out where to order it a while back. Mine had date code 5087, so 2015 sounds right. I was very excited at the possibility of this being a great com...

Re: My Altoids Tin Survival Kit
I wouldn't say you're unprepared due to not having an Altoids survival kit. ;) I have a "bug out" bag (although I really hate that term for some reason) ready to go. It includes three layers of clothing including a parka, first aid, rations (six 2016 MCWs, in case you're wondering), sleeping bag, a...

Re: 2013 Menu 7 Beef Brisket
Oddly enough, I find the brisket terrible when heated up, but my absolute favorite entree when eaten cold. I have probably eaten a warm MRE once in my life out of the 100's I've ate. We didn't have time to heat them up!

Y'all have to tell me how to post pictures! I'd like to post some of my toys in here! My two favorites currently are my Armalite AR chambered is .223 Wylde, and my HK91 chambered in .308.
