2005 British Menu G Pasta and Meatballs meal
From one of the old style packs dated 2005, this was always a favourite of mine and always looked out for Menu G packets to take on camping trips. IMG_20160623_100817482.jpg These have been stored in decent conditions since, the temp hasn't varied much and I from what I remember there is roughly 10 ...

Re: You can only pick one Menu
Would either be a
EPA type 2 (Cevapcici and Goulash, I like the Cevapcici so much I do buy the Civilian ones when I'm in Germany, you can pick them up in supermarkets) or
French RCIR Menu 4 (Kebab meatballs and Lasange)

Nice one mate, may there be many more videos.
Seeing all you guys on YT is one of the reason I started restocking the collection,
Oldest thing I've eaten was a 24 year old BBQ sauce with Ground Beef in 2008, Don't think I'll be working up to your level, the smokes I'd do those though

Re: replicating Pattern 70 SADF webbing with ALICE?
Its really tempting to put a 'Let me google that for you' link up, and tbh this seems quite lazy. All you need is a picture of the SA70pat and a kit list of ALICE and match them up. http://www.Varusteleka.fi even gives you a list of what they sell in that set. As your in the US, I'd guess ALICE woul...

Re: replicating Pattern 70 SADF webbing with ALICE?
If you couldn't get hold of 70 Pat, British 58 Pattern would be closer in look than ALICE webbing. As SA was part of the commonwealth its military gear is similar to British. https://www.elliottmilitary.co.uk/catalog/images/58%20Webbing%20copy.jpg Very basic set up pictured, Kidney pouches and two S...

Re: Help-German speakers ID This Wool sweater Alpinweste
heavy wool Dachstein type Is wool what had been boiled to make it shrink or so google says, Dachstein mitts. These woolen mittens, made exclusively in the mountainous Dachstein region of Austria, were de rigueur in the 1970s and 1980s, before Gore-Tex and other high-tech materials supplanted them. T...

Re: Tsunami in Japan
I hope our Japanese friends will be OK. It looks like other countries will be hit by the wave too, Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. Waves expected over the next few hours, caused by 8.9 earthquake in Japan. New Zealand is still recoveri...
