Mylar can work verywellformaking your own, as long as you are using dried or sealed items. Do not use Mylar to store "wet" items. PM me if you have any questions. Ya it was just 5 or 6 hours in the box which was out in the sun, other than that as far as i know it came from the manufacturer

So i ordered a few mres. augraten potatos. i didnt hear the delivery guy so they were sitting out in the sun for a few hours.

when i opend the box the mre's were not hot, but pretty warm, for all i know it could have been out there for 6 or 7 hours. are they still ok?

I didn't mean to sound patronizing, if I did. Our commissary sells both MREs and TOTMs, either singly or by the case. I don't know why other places wouldn't.
