Nice review!
Just tried mine the other day. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was definitely bland. Added a little Cholula hot sauce and some fresh grated parmesan cheese. I gobbled it up after that.

I like the carbohydrate electrolyte beverage powder because it reminds me of Gatorade, a flavor I'm used to. The beverage base orange reminds me of McDonald's Hi-C as a kid. I'm glad I found this tip. I tried my first MRE last night (2014, #3) and I was disappointed at the lack of heat in the meal. I'm going to give this a whirl on the next one for sure.
