WTS - Corned Beef Hash trays PRD Date 06/11
Hi folks, we are cleaning out our supply closet and we got a whole bunch of these that honestly I will never be able to finish off in time so now I offer them to you. These have been stored in a dark cool environment, last pack I opened still tasted fine, just needs some seasonings and onions to up ...

Hot steal on Facebook Mkt - British 24hr PD: 06/2022
https://imgur.com/a/iikYHgE Picked up a box of these for 150 bucks still sealed. Guy is a DoD contractor who was working with some british troops stationed here for training. They couldn't bring the rations back with them so he grabbed a bunch of cases. Still has about 4 boxes left I'm gonna try an...

Re: a discussion of mess kits
Very happy! No surprise its a bit hefty but I was able to boil up water or cookup a quick stew while out and about on hikes. The shine goes away once you start torching it but honestly the stainless steel look gets scratched so easily this helps to hide some of that. I do prefer the bare exterior do...

Re: a discussion of mess kits
Not to double post but its been a while and I finally received my mess kit. Its pretty shiny and hefty, I don't got a real m40 to compare with but feels like its very durable. Have to wait for a weekend to give it a try. Definitely didn't come with an alcohol burner but I got a tatonka stove that wo...

Re: a discussion of mess kits
Self Reliance Outfitters has a reproduction swedish stainless steel M40 kit up for preorder. 80 bucks, ship date is around September for US. Considering the prices for original I immediately grabbed one. Hopefully the quality is solid, been looking for something like this for a long time. Wasn't rea...

Re: Estate Sale Purchase - Late 80's Prepper
Whoever this man was, he was pretty dedicated on creating his own custom LRPs. I'm guessing he wanted to make sure to have MREs that would last a long time and can be handed out easy. Keep the pics coming this is pretty cool stuff. I would definitely would like to grab some of those custom packs for...

Re: Daff MRE's on Amazon
I thought about the paella but figured that might have been too sketchy and tried to go safe. Think I'll order that next just to try it out.
One thing I did with the cookies was crumble it up into the jam/syrup. That kinda help a bit reminded me of a crumble dessert.

Re: Daff MRE's on Amazon
I bought a case of the Pasta with Pomodoro Sauce. Tried one out, menu seems imbalanced with everything sweet: the crackers were more like 2 hard cookies, the jam was instead a syrup with bits of fruit, the apricots were good being sweet and sticky, the pineapple drink was the mildest. As for the pas...
