Re: They're not all Piper Cubs

Agreed!

And not all copy machines are Xerox.

Not all tissues are Kleenex.

I’m sure there’s more.

Re: Suggestion: Bull/Sell/Trade Rules

I think it’s perfectly reasonable, and even common on many forums these days.

And happy holidays to you, my friend!

Re: 2008 vs 2018

2018 should (as far as I know...I am sure the experts here will chime in) have the menu printed in French (NATO) as well as English. As I recall, that change began sometime in 2014.

Re: Huge deal on Ebay

I did my research on this before posting, hoping I'd have more to share, but came up empty. This is more oriented toward preparedness/survival I would believe, rather than collecting. A few months ago, a guy I work with found a post that I believe was on the M4 carbine forum, for someone in New Hamp...

Re: 80s US MRE?

Thanks, i'll check it out. My memory may be shot, but i thought it was in a sauce of some kind. Wish i could remember the other contents of the ration. I don't know about the patty of that vintage, but the fairly modern ones are in a watery sort of seasoning. I wouldn't exactly call it a sauce. It'...

Cheap MREs located in NC

My brother was visiting relatives in NC last week and reported that a place called Curt's Premium Outlet in Gastonia, NC, is selling MREs for $16 a case. That's even cheaper than I've seen shady people selling out of their trunk at gun shows. My brother doesn't know anything about MREs but was smart...

New England members- tomorrow is sale day!

Just a reminder that the annual Underhill-Jericho (Vermont) Harvest Market is tomorrow. There’s always tons of cold weather rations and equipment for sale as the US Army Mountain Warfare Center is right there. Typically a residence on route 15 southbound just north of Brown’s Trace Road sells small ...

Should be 1996-2000 but I've never seen ones with no menu description.
They are civilian, and the menu would be printed on a decal affixed to the outside of the case they came from.

Re: Mountain House Sales

Sierra Trading Post, at least in the store near me (they are also online) has the 12-serving version of this for $49.99, packed in a bucket. Item number was 481XU-99 when I bought mine on July 15.
