Do you have a price estimate that you'd place this sale at?

Re: Ukraine Green Bag 24 Hour MRE questions.
I've eaten both kinds of Ukrainian ration on the market (the newer green bags and the older trays), and both are essentially clones of the old Soviet rations from the Cold War. They contain the absolute basic necessities for life and that's about it, with little regard to exact nutrition or morale-...

Re: new Ukrainian ration
Am bumping this to add, I found this Ukrainian ration on Ebay (there are quite a few sellers for them, as well as Russian ones, etc) and bought it, and can't read it. That big green bag had 3 little green bags inside it, I'm guessing one is for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't know how to type t...

Re: Ukrainian Ration ~Green Bag Type~
I'm eating the last can out of that right now, after waiting a good month or so after eating the rest. I found the whole thing to be extremely poor in both quality and content; they even had the exact same red can of kasha for two of the meals. It didn't come with any utensils, either. That said, th...

Re: new Ukrainian ration
I'm currently eating the new MRE-esque ration, having finished the old tray-style one in the past few days. Both seem to be very similar, based around porridge or stew-like canned meals and with a minimum of beverages and accessories. They really do provide the minimum to keep soldiers fighting. It'...

Re: Random Pop Tart Question
The very first MRE I ever ate (chili con carne, I think it was) had a chocolate chip toaster pastry.

Re: Korean seafood, rice w/ vegetables freeze dried
I don't find most European cuisine bland (except maybe British, and they've gotten a taste for Indian in the past century). There's typically more subtleties than the popping and extreme flavors and often high heat of chili-heavy Asian cuisines. Herbs and spices are used, but in smaller amounts, and...

Re: when does the 2015 menu launch
I think they may have already begun coming in. When I bought a maple sausage MRE, it was numbered differently from the 2014 menu (I think it was shifted to #1?) and now included granola porridge and was missing the nut/raisin mix.

Re: Filled French Toast and Maple Muffintop
Agreed on the maple muffin top. It's sweet and easily one of the best tasting MRE items I've found. The maple muffin top, cornbread, toaster pastry, and other foods that would ordinarily be crumbly survive the transport process by way of their composition. They're dense and moist, so they stay toget...
