Re: Coffee! Ratings/reviews from a coffee junkie
I still can't seem to find an MRE that has either the spiced cider or iced tea in it!! Does anyone have a date range for MREs that contain these? Or I guess I could always just look at all the menu years on the site lol

Absolutely! Feel free to add/expand on anything you like that's MRE coffee related. I'll do the same if I come across any more I haven't tried yet.

Re: Coffee! Ratings/reviews from a coffee junkie
Thanks!! The type III is currently being used in genunine MREs as of 2014. The "deep rich" is In a lot of the current commercial MREs (Sure-Pak still uses it) and were in TOTMs from 2011-2013 (and still might be, I haven't had a current one) the Cafe Diario was out of a 2012 FSR. And the Tasters Cho...

Coffee! Ratings/reviews from a coffee junkie
I decided to do something fun for the coffee lovers out there. Also because I love drinking coffee. I sat down with 4 cups of piping hot water and the 4 most commonly found instant coffees found in MRE's. They were all tasted scalding hot and black first, then with sugar. I didn't test them with cre...

So they do exist! I wonder if genuine military MREs all use the same flavor then.... Either way thanks for the response!

Random Pop Tart Question
Is frosted brown sugar with cinnamon the only variety that exists in MREs? Anyone ever got one aside from this variety in an MRE genuine or civilian?

Re: Menu #15 Mexican Chicken Stew
I just had this one today. I also tend to eat my MREs in date order, however when the dates are too close to call, I eat them based on ones I'm most likely to hate first. :D I feared the worst with this one as I'm not a big fan of Mexican food. Mine was the 2014 menu however so I didn't get Santa Fe...

Re: Vegetable stew with Beef
Found one!!! I can now confirm the spiced cider is in accessory packet C (not A or B) in 2012 FSR's. Which means it's likely the same can be said for the ones packaged in 2011 and most likely 2013? Looks like I finally get to try it!

Best. MRE. Ever.
Just had what was, in my opinion, the best MRE ever constructed. The 2014 menu 24 southwest beef in black beans. I'll start with the cons because there are so few. I didn't get turkey nuggets, instead one of those "Bulls" beef snacks. I'm a fan of jerky but these.... Ehhhh. (And anyone else find the...

Re: Random thought about pricing.
There is/was a seller on eBay selling FSR's for $42 (that includes shipping) for 3. Menus 1,2 and 3. I jumped on them! Date codes were 2175.
