Re: Menu 21 Chicken Breast Fillet, Garlic and Herb Seasoning

It's been very interesting to see all this and to see the meal....thanks to all! You would think that if the Tuna is such a problem that Natick would just accept it and move on and update the menu lists with the chicken or pursue another fish option. I do find it interesting that Tuna is the only fi...

Re: Finally...Marmite

I think it's pretty hard to enjoy Marmite (or Vegemite) without butter. In the Aussie/Kiwi rations you get what is really a very large quantity of Vegemite when the suggested serving for a whole slice of bread is 2 grammes...about what would cover the tip of a table knife. I imagine that the idea mu...

Re: RCW, MCW, FSR, & LRP Snacks

1998 RCW (Ration, Cold Weather) Oatmeal Cookie Bars.. or what I call: Food of the Gods. If you haven't had one of these, it is just like the rectangular block ones in vintage MRE's, or Food Packet Survival, General Purpose. I haven't had any of these. But they look, and sound, as though they're pre...

Re: Menu 21 Chicken Breast Fillet, Garlic and Herb Seasoning

This meal is at least a couple years old, I've had it before. I think it had something to do with the makers of the Tuna, so they took it out and put in Chicken instead. It's the same stuff, even no FRH. The meal was made in January 2014 so it's only got 7 months on the clock! I do vaguely remember...

Menu 21 Chicken Breast Fillet, Garlic and Herb Seasoning

I'm looking to buy some MREs at the moment and was a bit puzzled by this meal that I found on eBay here in the UK. It's listed as Menu 21 : Chicken Breast Fillet with Garlic and Herb Seasoning and there is a picture of it, standard tan bag in the style with the big MRE letters on the front. It was p...

Re: RCIR Camembert

Just a little update on the french cheese front....we recently had an RCIR Menu No 3 from 2012 (entrees are Poultry Tabouleh and Beef with Carrots) and it had a Fromage de Chevre Fondu (goat cheese spread) in it. Sadly no pictures as we took it out on a trip and munched it before I'd realised it was...
