Vietnamese Military Rations "KHẨU PHẦN"
I noticed there was a distinct lack of information about modern-day Vietnamese armed forces rations in English, so with the power of AI and google translate, this is what I was able to come up with. Presumably, the officer in charge of military nutrition and ration development showcasing the various...

Reproducing WWII British 24 Hour Ration Oatmeal Blocks
After watching this video some years ago, I finally got around to trying to recreate some oatmeal blocks from the British WWII 24 Hour Ration pack, but I've run into some issues with it. Since the instructions are rather vague and are written within the context of someone living in the UK with acces...

What happened to this japanese ration site?
https://web.archive.org/web/20210621043 ... ~phototec/
Does anyone know what happened to this ration site? It no longer loads and the only way to view it is to use archive.org. It looks like it went down for a few years and came back up in 2020, but it's gone again.

Sources for IDF Manot Krav preparation methods and "hacks"?
In Steve's two videos on the Manot Krav, he mentions IDF soldiers either could or do prepare the items included in different ways to avoid monotony; I was wondering if any of these are recorded somewhere or could be verified as employed methods by real IDF veterans or some form of recorded word/vide...

MRE Cracker perforations, anyone ever gotten these to work right?
I don't think this has ever been asked before, but has anyone gotten an MRE cracker to actually break on the perforations that are baked into the cracker? This of course assumes that the cracker is more or less intact when you get it. I personally never have despite trying numerous times, it makes m...

Also of note, I noticed on some detailed pictures of the PIR cartons, you can see: "Packed by Yogi Shokai" which incidentally is also the company that made the first run of the SOG knife that Baker developed.

New/commercial version of serbian mess kit?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/124519379157 Out of stock but the photos show a Serbian style mess kit with a woodland camo pouch, all-metal as opposed to mostly plastic containers as seen on most Serbian mess kits, even the canteen appears to be made out of metal except for the cap. Does anyone have detai...

Re: German Bund C-0467 PAPR Gas Mask blower, anyone have any info on this?
How much was those civilian 3M M40s, I hear that he civilian ones cost a lot more money than a military surplus M40. Mine was 150 bucks which is unheard of for a new in box M40. My military surplus M40 was 80 bucks with a new filter and lense outserts Mine came in factory packaging, very clearly un...
