Re: MRE Experiment
would really hate to see you waste what might be still viable MREs. I can show you what happens when a military unit disbands with two 7-ton trucks still loaded and they sit out for 9 month.

Re: modern mess hall cookbook?
Hi, was wondering if there are public recipes available for the food served in military cafeterias today. Dining facilities are making efforts to create more healthy menus and recipes with their Go for Green program. Current recipes https://www.hprc-online.org/nutrition/go-green/g4g-getting-started...

The Red Pack coffees (folgers and tasters choice) for some reason tend to mold up at the drop of a hat, so I would not necessarily use them as an indicator of condition. I think the condition your referring to when you say "Mold up" is called "Webbing". A white, thread like condition found in the c...

gschult9, I liked the video review of the Passover menu you posted. just wanted to let you know, during your review the canned fish that was included in that pouch made that a complete meal. The Passover menus have 4 beef, 4 chicken and 4 fish. The fish are 2 Gefilte fish and 2 menus with canned fish.

I've never seen the 25 serving bags before. The ones that I survey in the UGR-B and H&S, are 18 servings and there are 3 Boil-in-Bag in each mylar pouch. I find the if you can rehydrate over night the quality is much better.

I’ve seen rations that were in far worst physical condition, and did not leak. Use Treesuit’s recommendations to test them, I use the same procedure on all the rations I inspection to look for weakened seams. I hope you don’t have any problems the Chicken and Feta is one of my favorites as well, Chi...

I would like to take a moment to apologize to the members of this forum, for my spelling and grammatical errors. I was on my phone when I made the other posting, big fingers…small keyboard and without the luxury of a proof reader. LOL I’ve worked inspecting MRE, UGR-H&S, UGR-B and other Operation Ra...

Treesuit made a comment about the guys from Natick Laboratory putting out something concerning this well they did and he right about it being a myth.
