Re: EPa Typ 10 2022 freeze dried
Wondering how these freeze dried rations taste now - seems like I tried them years ago and they were very bland! I do hate those sesame seed bar's (Sesamriegel) maybe one day they find a way to make them soft I will enjoy them more.

Re: Canadian Rations Upcoming Updates.
To me it wouldn't be worth more than a UK Cold Climate Ration Pack at best.

Pretty clean label there (not a bunch of crap added in), that is good to see. But they somehow managed to add more sugar in this one than was in the Mountain House version.

Re: Spanish Halal Ration
Very odd... Pork is not Halal in any fashion that I am aware of. My guess would be that the ration was incorrectly labeled and maybe that is how it wound up on the commercial market in the first place.

Re: 2023 new mre items
Looks a bit healthier than the normal drink mixes. Sad that they still have to put junk in there like corn fiber and rice syrup. Better than corn syrup I guess!

Re: Ration Cold Weather 3 B by SO-PAK-CO
Agreed, its from 1992, the mains at this point were packed in one container and not cubed like the earlier RCW mains). If it was stored in a cool environment, which it looks like, the main will very much likely still be good. Though the nuts in the brownies tend to go bad over the years anyway and t...

I have seen this before mainly from pouches exposed to the sun/UV rays for long periods of time.

Re: MCW main meals no longer produced by Mt. House?
Hey Cavguy, I wonder if this will reduce the shelf life for long term storage? Less artificial ingredients is much more appealing, nonetheless. Steve, funny thing is the Mountain House Military-Spec Pro-Paks actually have a guaranteed 30-year shelf life when stored unopened in a cool area below 75°...
