Yes these are indeed real Japanese Military rations. I had some of these back around the mid 2000's that I got from a friend in Japan. They were not bad tasting at all (including the canned ones). Sadly, in my opinion, something changed in the quality of the UK ration packs after the Multi-Climate trial packs. The main meals with beans in them are super bland. The taste of the snack items / side items just became more "processed" and corn syrup/sugary. I also still miss the old biscuits brown...

All the food is Orifo brand now! Let us know how those freeze dried meals taste.

I agree! Even in the Military we are pretty much guaranteed 1 hot meal a day. If you are ever stuck eating 3 MRE's a day your life is very bad.

In my opinion a 2018 packed PR1M should go for between $50 and $75 max. Some of the side items may be heat stressed if it was not stored in a cool temp (70 or below). That would be a fair price range. I actually had a lot of (5 if I recall correct) rations packed in the tall metal I bought for $200 ...

Wondering how these freeze dried rations taste now - seems like I tried them years ago and they were very bland! I do hate those sesame seed bar's (Sesamriegel) maybe one day they find a way to make them soft I will enjoy them more.
