Homemade "MRE" section?
MRE/IMPs are hard to get on the Atlantic coast without doing mail order so I have been looking at making homemade MREs for emergencies. What do people think about a homemade MRE section? I have made them in the past from what I can get at local stores but it would be of great interest to me to see w...

Re: Hotpack flameless ration heater
Did they loose the enemy while they stopped to eat?
These cost $9 in Canada are are nothing more than an entree, sure you could add aftermarket extras but the cost would end up being much higer than the $7.50 I paid for per MRE.

FS: IMP entrees and fruits
Entrees: Pork with cream/wine sauce and Macaroni chinese style
Fruits: Apple slices, Peach slices, Pineapple tidbits.
I'm looking for MRE entrees, side dishes, etc.
Caution: I will label custom slips as desired as long as the wording is legal.
Sorry, due to shipping cost trades are not feasable.

My GF and I are eating the Pork with wine sauce, and the Beef macaroni chinese style. The pork tastes a little off, most likely due to the orange coloured wine/cream sauce. I was afraid of the "chinese" flavour but after I opened it it was better than the pork. The peaches were just like can peaches...

The company I work for gives the customer a 5%-10% discount if they regularly buy a lot. It's both a way to say thank you and a way to get them to buy more. That 5%-10% is a discount on their cost not ours. We always marked up our shipping by 25% of the actual cost. However, we found that for certai...

MRE entrees vs Mountain House?
We recently got Mountain House 2 person entrees and 1 person Pro-Paks in Canada through the Mountain Equipment Co-op chain or stores. I've tried several and like them but at 200-310 calories they are not full meals. 2 person entrees cost between $5.25-$6.25 so after tax it's $2.75-$3.50 a serving of...
