Re: North Korean Ration?

Agree this is a South Korean ration. Made in Kyonggi province, uses the usual nutrient label, references HACCP.

Re: 2022 Russian IRP-PR Individual Intermediate Dry Ration Review

Great presentation. Thanks! Yeah, someone in Russia, likely a bunch of someones, preferred to make some hard currency instead of providing these to the Russian soldiers. That's why they went into Ukraine with rations that had expired years ago.

Great pics, indeed. Thanks much!

Found the display of tobacco products very striking. Have never smoked myself, so am always amazed at how much people smoked at that time. Am interested in containers, found the Lucky Strike round and flat cans notable.

2019 TOTM

Was hungry and didn't know what I wanted to eat. Saw a loose TOTM and grabbed it. Date on commissary sales tag was 23 November 19. Figured it would be okay. Entree was spaghetti and meat sauce. Ate a TOTM last night.

Bought this one at the commissary as a single meal, not as part of a case. Had the one with ravioli and meat sauce. Ravioli was okay. The Cheezits snack crackers were just crumbs. The oatmeal cookie was as hard as a rock and I didn't bother eating it. Tried the orange drink but no matter how much I ...

What is the current commissary price?

rob
About $117 for a case of MREs, half that for TOTMs. Bought a case of TOTMs some months back at our commissary.

Single TOTM goes for $4.25, MRE double that.
