Re: The best Chocolate
The dark chocolate in the Norwegian rations made by Brunberg Oy is pretty good.

Re: French MREs
There seems to be lots on ebay.fr all the time. Looking now and there's a seller doing buy-it-now for 6 euros each, but shipping is another 31. Each.

Re: French MREs
I looked into getting a case from France and the shipping into Canada was $400. No joke. They're heavy and the shipping costs reflect that. Hopefully your deal works out better than mine (it never happened).

Re: French RCIR's wanted.
Search on ebay.fr and you will find lots. The shipping to North America is a killer though. I was trying to do a deal with a guy for a case but the shipping alone worked out to more than $400. Let me know if you figure something out.

I'm pretty sure that if you were ready to order enough to make it worth their while (think in the order of pallet loads here) that they would do it. It is a business after all. For a few cases, probably not as likely. 10k pieces, they'll be showing you where to sign.

I'm always amazed at how the noodles in the US pouches stand up to the test of time. Has your experience with these German dishes been that the noodles get soggy after a few years?

There's a Japanese caffeine gum that I get at Asian markets called Black Black that's not too bad.
