Re: Now official information about the new 19 German EPas
As Housil said, these new EPAs were specifically designed for consumption, not for storage. After more and more Bundeswehr soldiers had to rely on EPAs during their deployment in Afghanistan because there were no field kitchens available (i.e. when occupying FOBs) it was decided to increase the numb...

Re: London riots
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14472567 There are many non-whites participating in those clean-ups, too, so I wouldn´t be so fast to blame "multiculturalism". BBC and other news sources have also shown Sikhs, Pakistanis and Turks defending their property against those thugs. On the other hand many wh...

Re: Australian CR1M Menu D
I had that problem with MRE cookies, too. They looked fine but smelled and tasted rancid. Too bad you spoiled your tea, though! Yowie, I´m looking forward to see close-ups of the "milk in a tube"! It´s actually a nice idea. Usually you see milk powder in military rations, so I´m kinda curious how th...

Re: Australian CR1M Menu D
Great review Yowie, I´m looking forward to read more!
Yuck, Vegemite! I tried Marmite when I was in the UK, but, no thanks, I rather stick to Nutella or peanut butter!
That "milk in a tube" is pretty interesting, though. Is it more a powder or some sort of cream?

Re: Russian IRP-P ration review
Thanks for the photos and your insight! Russian rations are somehow still kinda mysterious and it´s nice to see that there are brave men who still try it!

Re: 2011 end times
During my 23 months of service in the Bundeswehr I never really had much contact with "Militärpfarrer" and I´m not sure if all of them have enlisted soldiers as their assistants. The only time I took part in a church service was during basic training and I can´t remember seeing anyone assisting that...

Re: new fake ration on ebay?!
I found that article on the Bundeswehr Intranet site, that's why it can't be found on the internet. It's definately an odd find, but considering the new situations German troops face in Afghanistan introducing new EPA types would make sense.

Re: Feedback - Buy/Sell/Trade
Wanted to say thanks to Housil for sending me four British ORPs, including a hand full of Pop-Tarts (delicious!) and two MRE main meals (Cheese Omelet
) and all for a more than fair price.

Re: new fake ration on ebay?!
There seem to be new EPA types in trial phase, but that auction looks like a fraud...it´s also interesting that the seller has copied the instructions from classical EPAs: the label on the package says that the meals can be "enjoyed either hot or cold", which is odd, because the main entrees are fre...

Re: Little EPA leicht review
I´m pretty sure anyone would prefer your FSIRs instead of an EPA leicht, but unfortunately I got his last parts he had at home. And since he´s no longer a DSO member he won´t get any unless they turn Military Police into special forces...I´d love to swap an EPA leicht for your FSIR, but my sources a...
