Where oh where are the 2005 MRE menus?
So here we are in 2005 but there’s still no sign of the 2005 MRE menus on the DSCP’s web site. That’s kind of strange, especially seeing as last year, the 2004 menus were posted in late 2003.
Of course, you can pretty much figure out what the 2005 menus are going to look like based on the MRE improvements page (or see the official page here.
I think they should put cigarettes back in MRE’s. I dont know why they dicontinued them in C rats back in 72′ or whatever it was. I mean yeah they are bad for you, but how do those guys get thier cigs now?
Are there like special order forms for people that are addicted to them? Or are they forced to go into withdraw and quit?
I dont smoke, nor’ am I ever planning to smoke, but I’ve wondered about this, I mean really… why not put cigs back into MRE’s, I think it would give a nice morale boost to the fellas over in Iraq.
Dont smoke and you got cigs? Trade em for tobasco sauce or some candy or something.
I really think the military should just do this again… it would make MRE’s even more fun to buy… lol.

I think I have 117 bottles of tobasco sauce, I’ve eaten about 350 MRE’s in my life, and I have collected most of the Tobasco sauce bottles. Maybe used like 6 of em or something.
I bought some overpriced Sopacko MRE’s today as a matter of fact…. and I think they’re old… or either brand new.. the barcode thing on em says “4204″
Is that 1994 or 2004? I have stuff like Minestrone Stew and Vegetable Mancotti in Tomato sauce.
Maybe these are the new Sopacko MRE’s, I dont know I’m kinda dumb, I’d eat a 14 yer old MRE and barely notice…… until I’m puking up my stomach and spleen and stuff. :D

Steve, your comments are interesting to read and enjoyable. Wow, 350 MRE’s you have eaten? In what time span? I think I have only eaten about 3cs worth in my whole life up to this point but I am gaining on you…HaHa
