Russian Ration Review page up
The Russian Ration Review page is now up. Thomas, the same guy who sent in the pictures of the Russian ration, was kind/brave enough to try eating it, too. His review also contains the web address of one of the companies who make the ration components.
Ewww 30% fat. That sounds horrible!
I think rations should contain more grams of Protien and Carbs and less fat.
Fat is a good source of energy for soldiers, but it just doesent help build muscle, or fuel a body in a very healthy way.
Thats the worst thing about rations for me, too much fat. But I enjoy them so much, they are just so fun to eat!
I dunno about anyone else, but I get excited when I see a new type of ration.
I am also wondering, does anyone have Information on the Austrailian rations? All I know is there are 2 types, a 1-man 24 hour ration and a 4-man 24 hour ration.
I’m also curious if there is any good info on other worldwide military rations.
Like for example, Swedish or Chinese rations.

Funny you should mention Australian rations. I’ve been working on that page and it should be up soon. In the meantime, I’ll post a new news article for you with some links to some more info on Australian ration packs.
As for Chinese and Swedish rations, I don’t have any info on those. But I do have a couple of pictures of Norweigian rations!

Heheh cool, thanks man. I am so happy to kinda be a new regular on this site.
By the way, I have seen a couple austrailian rations on Ebay, they have been getting crazy bid wars that I have seen one 24 hour ration go up to $76 and some close to it.
If I ever get a good deal on some austrailian rations, I will post all the info I can and a taste test as well.
I’m sorry about not having any pictures of the IMP’s I have. I will get some as soon as I can. I have school, and a full time job… makes things kinda tricky. :D
I got 2 1/2 years of high school left and I’m done.. argh!

$76 for an Australian ration? That’s crazy! But not suprising, I suppose, seeing how rarely they turn up on Ebay.
