Found this by a chance and decided to give it a go Packaged in 03/2007 so I was really curious about how well (or poorly) it held up over the years.
Very interesting review of a not very Japanese menu of a JSDF ration
I'm trying to figure out what "beef ham" is? Is it beef that is just cured like ham? Is it ham cut thick like a steak?
To be honest, I've still no idea but finally managed to figure out what I could compare the texture to. It was very similar to duck breast when roasted. It's not stringy like chicken meat would be but a bit on the "mushy" side.
