Hi guys!

I posted on Reddit and got a decent amount of advice on this question. I'm new to the MRE scene. I like to try new and different things and for some reason my brain really wants me to try a bunch of random different MREs.

With that said, I've tried the 2016 Menu A and Menu B US MRE sets (menu 1-12 and 13-24) and I was wondering, where is a good place to look for my next set of rations? I'd prefer to buy a big case of them for not TOO much money (I paid around $75-$80 for each menu). Not sure if these are the cheapest on the internet or not, that's why I'm here :)

Anyone have any ideas or tips on which brand/type of MRE I should look into or try next?

Thanks so much!

If you are close to a military base, check on craigslist as often as possible. Finding cases for 40$ or less is not uncommon. Are you looking to sample MREs from other countries? Because I have not found a way to do that inexpensively yet. Trading on this site is a great way to expand your inventory, and folks around here sell surprise boxes, and random grab bags quite often.

Make sure when you buy by the case that it's factory sealed.

Have seen many unscrupulous sellers on eBay and at gun shows with cases put together from loose rations they've collected, and you have no idea how they were stored or their vintage, especially if they've resealed the box.

And I didn't think about Craigslist!!! I'm gonna go ahead and try it. Also I wanna look at MREs from other countries. Canadian IMPs will probably be my first purchase :) I can't wait! Thanks to both of you!

Biggest indicator that a case has been opened is that the two original plastic sealing straps are missing. The box flaps are also glued shut at the factory, but those may have been reglued shut. If the box has been taped shut, it's definitely been tampered with..

I can get you some new cases, but they would be 60 + shipping.

PM me if interested
