Lithuanian MRE Menu No.2 Video and Review.

Postby Dontkillbill » Sun Nov 05, 2017 3:26 pm

This menu is so good. Beef and Groats.

The beef wasn't too salty and the stew like flavour and barley groats work well. Hazelnuts, honey, chocolate and hard biscuits with caraway round out the meal with coffee and orange drink.

Its small but 1555 calories even though the label says 1494. I wish I had more.

I liked it so much I am going to make some from scratch tonight.

Nice review man. Never had Lithuanian ration, they seem to be simple and good. I like the VDV mess kit.

Nice Review, thanks for sharing! The Lithuanian are very similar to the US MRE single meal style pouch, we like them a lot. They are very reasonably priced and quite tasty. The entrees are mostly goulash or stew type dishes that are somewhat fatty and salty, but delicious if you personally like those hearty types of dishes(I do :D ). Usually hazelnuts or almonds and honey that is amazing along with the biscuits and real chocolate bar make this ration a great buy for its price. I highly recommend these for any ration enthusiasts. We keep a few around all the time...

I ordered one of these off of Ebay from Lithuania... but it seems to be taking a heck of a long time to get to my doorstep. If you don't mind my asking, could you tell me how long it has taken on average to get to your door, and who you are ordering from?

Thanks!
