steve1989, Thank you for the interesting images :!:

I was also surprised at the bread included in a ziplock.
Do the Ukraine Forces make the inside of that ziplock sterile for one year?
If it does not mold for one year, is it an effect of some chemical?
It is molto interesting.

Turkey is a member of NATO and produces it's own version of MRE rations. They also sell rations on their commercial market. My guess is that Ukraine doesn't have any facilities to manufacture their own FRH's at the moment since they are currently phasing out their old rations with modern MREs. I would guess that Ukraine ordered a the Turkish FRHs in bulk to distribute them into their rations for the time being. I don't know if they will being making their own in the future. Also, I would like to point out that many countries will often import food or other products to be distributed into their military rations, many countries in NATO will often do this, since many of these countries since it might be cheap or for not having the infrastructure to do manufacture/grow certain food products.

I would also like to point out that Turkey is a large exporter/importer of military goods. They are the second largest military in NATO and have a growing military industrial complex, mainly exporting to allied Middle Eastern nations. I'm surprised to see Turkey not sending any hardware to Ukraine (except the FRHs), especially when considering their complex love/hate relationship with Russia at the moment (The whole Syrian Civil War debacle and recent assassination come to mind) but, in 2011, Turkish rations were found with Loyalist troops despite the ongoing NATO air campaign against them.

Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!
