That´s the "son" of famous WW2 MG42.
The German name is MG3.
The MG42 was caliber 7.92, the current MG3 is in NATO caliber 7.62
They also "slowed" it down to 1200 rounds per minute.
But it´s still "great" to shoot

I've seen one when I was a kid, a friend of my father was a poacher and he used it against the wild boars (seriously!) but I've never shot it
