Croatian army ration

Post by Ration Fan » Mon Nov 14, 2011 1:39 pm

Hi Guys!
I got the croatian army ration.
The ration called "Individualni Borbeni Obrok-Tip 3" which means "Individual combat ration-Type 3".
This ration is produced according to NATO STANAG 2937.
It´s made by a company called "Podravka".
This is their website:http://www.podravka.com/
The most contents are civilian labeled things.
Ok,this are the contents:
-Main Meal: Beans with pork
-Turkey luncheon meat
-Sardines in vegetable oil
-Tea time pate
-Instant soup with beef flavour
-Cookies
-Dessert chocolate bar
-Honey
-"Kavabon" Coffee bonbons
-Instant drinks with natural orange flavouring
-Instant black tea with lemon flavour, enriched with vitamin C
-Dried Papaja
-Dried Pineapple rings
-Pepper biscuits
-Refreshing wet tissues
-Content specification paper

The two sorts of biscuits with the spreads for them:

The Refreshing wipes and the Instant drinks:

The two meals(soup and main meal):

Now the things I tried:
The chocolate bar:

This has 50% cocoa.
It taste very good!
Not too sweet and not too bitter.

Than the soup:

Very salty with little noodles in it.
But I like salt so I like this soup too!

The pepper biscuits:

They are similar to the traditional german christmas "Speckulatzius" biscuits.
But the ration biscuits taste like real pepper and not sweet.
I don´t like them.

The cookies:

Taste just like nothing!
They are not salty and not sweety.
Just like hard backed bread.
I like the german "armor sheets" more!

The honey:

Image
Very good!
Taste like honey taste! :D
Very sweety!

The "Kavabon" Coffee bonbons:
Image
Image
Good!
Taste like sweet coffee.

And now the main meal(beans with pork):

The sauce and the beans are good!
I don´t tried the pork because I don´t like pork!
So I can´t rate that for you!
Sorry!

That was the review of the croatian army ration.
Greetings
Brian

The pouches have a best-before date of 2012. Regular, civilian items with a (European) shelf life of 2 years.
