Flat Bread, Shelf Stable

Postby rcrice » Mon Jun 13, 2011 7:55 pm

With my order from The Epicenter, I got some of the Flat Bread, shelf stable. This is supposed to be the same bread used in the FSR pocket sandwiches.

Ripped one open. My first reaction was that it really smelled like bread. You bite into it, and you get a nicely chewy feel. Reminds me a little of yeast dinner rolls, not quite as light and fluffy, but very similar. Is really good if warmed up.

Also, this is nothing like wheat snack bread, which I hate. This is real bread. Great stuff. I can see how you could use with with MRE entrees to make your own sandwich. This is great.

Great review... Sounds like a good addition for some of the menus such as buffalo chicken, beef brisket, etc...

More robust than a tortilla would be...
