Wasted Food in Puerto Rico

Post by SentientTootsieRoll » Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:27 am

I came across this article today from October: http://gotnews.com/breaking-puerto-rica ... -dumpster/

Wasted food, including MREs. According to the article, no one was allowed to take the food and it was going to be discarded. This made me pretty angry, not just because those treasured rations would be tossed, but because there are people there who are still in need of aid and aren't receiving it.
If we don't study the mistakes of the future, we're bound to repeat them for the first time.

Ugh, I agree- heart-breaking.

It's such a poor government and mismanaged state-of-emergency. I'm not sure about that article's claim that the government in PR is deliberately sabotaging relief efforts; I think it's entirely possible they're just criminally inept.
