90's A & B accessory packets and my first post

Post by mp43sniper » Mon Nov 27, 2017 8:51 pm

Hello all. First post here. I've always been fascinated by MRE'S, history, stories of survival, etc. I used to have a bunch of the brown meals when my brother in law was in the Guard. He hated them so he skipped the meal and gave it to me whenever possible. During ROTC I was always hungry and busy so I never kept any of my own.

Anyway, these are (I think) the only survivors from then. I kept these accessory packets in my WWII reenacting gear for a long time - just in case. Recently I noticed several little shredded bits of something in the closet and discovered that a mouse was into the B packet. You can see where it chewed through up at the top. All I can figure is that it got a Tootsie Roll because of the (very few) pieces of red & white plastic left on the floor and nothing else is missing. Without that little guy's help I probably would have never opened it. See, I have a little ocd in that way; I like to "save" stuff.

So here goes my first attempt at pictures too.
