MCI Jam, Pineapple

Postby JT1991 » Sun Sep 24, 2017 9:50 pm

Hey everyone,

I have some pineapple jam from one of my MCIs that had a pinhole in it. I sealed it with some superglue which worked, but alas, another pin hole formed. That being said, I decided to open it. Won't be taste testing the jam since it was leaking. Old jam just doesn't hold up. The acid in the fruit eats right through the tin can. Not a big loss. The smell of it wasn't to strong. About 50/50 of fermentation and pennies.

Anyway, here are some pictures. Enjoy and have a good rest of your day!

That stuff is amazing when not corroded. Pulpy and sweet.
What is the oldest thing you've ever eaten?

Hopefully the next jam I get will be good. This is my 2nd jam with a pin hole. It came with peanut butter too, which is perfect. Haven't opened it since it's my only thing of PB. Once I get more PB I'll try it on some good ol' MCI crackers! :D

I just had a blackberry jam from 1971 MCI Oldsmokey sent me and it was perfect. Pineapple seems interesting.

Does it have any tartness to it? I love Pineapples because to me they're the perfect inbetween of tart and sweet. Wanted to know if the jam is the same.
Keep calm and knead peanut butter
