Russian Commercial Retort Pouch Entree

Postby parafireboy » Fri Sep 15, 2017 4:20 pm

Hey fellow rationauts! I just picked up one of these off of eBay. I'd never seen them before, until about a month ago. Anyone tried one yet? I'll be reviewing this one soon. This one is beef kasha. I'm curious how similar it is to the "flexible can" ones in the IRPs. There are several different entrees out there.

I also purchased a Russian food pouch on eBay - Kronidov Russian Hiking Ration Food Roasted Pork... will post pic in the morning.

Interesting.
I've not tried those. I might look them up.
I do like that type of food.
I just had a polish version from a polish SR-5 for dinner last night, a foil tray version

Found it... it's the same seller from whom I purchased my pouch  BTW, my pouch is heavy and packed to the hilt with pork... will try it sometimes this weekend.

EDIT: Ordered the Pork and Buckwheat (kasha).

No, sorry. I was too hungry. I'm doing some gardening work today though and I'm currently preparing a Lithuanian menu 3 for my lunch. I'm taking pictures of that one . I've had it many times before, it's my favourite Lithuanian menu and my go-to for "at work" / "on the go" meals
