Well i answered my own question:

I found a USMC document titled "Marine Field Feeding Program"

and in it there was this snippet:

Note: All requests for UGR-Es must go through MCICOM G-4 for approval :shock:
To save the inevitable googling, that stands for Marine Corps Installations Command, G-4 (logistics)
