Postby Drew78 » Tue May 30, 2017 5:53 am

Hey guy's,

Just wondering who knows the year range for the Ameriqual MCW's, that had the bags with the old type text...think it's early 2000's ... just not sure what year it changed to Wornick. Thanks

According to their web-sight AmeriQual started packing MCWs in 2004, not sure when Wornic took over. That one dose not have the 4 digit date code stamped on the edge of the bag it like AmeriQual MREs?

I think was supposed to but stamp got misaligned..I can see a bit of 2 digits at an angle that runs off the edge..lol..but makes sense..I imagine it being the 1st year or 2 they started packing them because a buddy has one with a stamp..and has a 4 in front..so must have been one of the first years..

Thanks for the info...

I remember we talked about this "years" ago. Some didn´t have the date code outside, but you can read it thru the bag, printed on the cardboard boxes inside if you press it against.

I believe that these have a package date of between 2004 or 2006.

I have a couple cases of MCWs none of them have a production or expiration date, it's on the bottom of the case they come in, mine were made in 2016 and expire in 2019

Hey Drew, I think yours there is 2005. Any MCW's I've had in the past with that pouch design were 05's. Cavguy is right - between 04' - 06' - and Housil has a good point, you can press up against the pouch and see the contents inside and you just may be lucky enough to see a lot code.

Maybe the US. Govmint should just start issuing x-ray glasses, like from the old comic book ads. That way, we can see thru the packaging. I still have mine from 1973, but I cannot see under the girls clothing, like the ad said. Damn things don't work. I figured it was a scam, to extract 1.95 from 10 year olds. LOL 8)
After the Chicken and the Egg, came the "Omelet"!
