Hi Guys,

I'd like some help w.r.t. aquiring more info about the following Items: 4 small cardboard boxes containing 18 pcs of peanut butter or Jelly ( Apple, Grape ) envelopes. I got m of Ebay and I thought they were kinda cool.
allthought I was not sure when and where they were used or issued. Let me/ us know what you know about 'm.

Here are some pictures:

The boxes and envelopes are all in really nice condition.
Note the jelly envelopes on the back: Apple jelly reads "Thermo Pack INC", the Grape jelly envelopes read only "Thermo Pac". The peanut butter shows Thermo Pac and has a capital B printed on there as well.
The printing on the jelly cardboard boxes is different in style.
Furthermore , datecodes:
Apple jelly: 9031B4TP ( jan 31 1989 B4 ? and TP is Thermo Pac I guess?)
Grape Jelly: 0264B3TP ( sept 21 1990 )
Peanut Butter: 1038A6TP ( feb 7 1991 )
Note I have not checked every single envelope.

I'm not sure on the years but the colours of the anvelopes point that way?

More info welcome ;)

They seem to be part of one of the older UGR rations, as those are for 18 people too and the boxes are way too plain to be a US shipping box.

+1 for ugr

18 serving is huge giveaway as well as the way its packed.

If i remember right
These boxes would be in the accessory part of the URG package with other condiments and things, then a box of the entrees, and usually 1 more box for forks and junk.

Nawt, very nice collectibles :) !

Your "translations" of the date codes are right!

See here, pages 6, 7, 8 and 9:

http://hotchow.natick.army.mil/history/ ... 90_Web.pdf

All breakfast, lunch and dinner menus contain PEANUT BUTTER and JELLY.

So long mreheater72
