my newest collection item, a FOOD-PACKET, IN-FLIGHT INDIVIDUAL :D , I guess it was packed in the sixties :?: . The APRICOTS can is missing :( , the other contents are in rather good condition :D , see the photos:

Notice the beefsteak can mentions the food warmer, the immersion heater I linked photos of in the SAC meals thread.

I never knew the cans specifically mentioned that 8)

that was the very first ration i ever tried :D :D i was about 15 and was going on an army cadet weekend, and i bought it from silvermans(a famous uk surplus dealer)
o happy days :D as the meatloaf song goes " long a go and far away ,but so much better than it is today" :D
