Re: OMELET, OMELETTE or OMELETE

Pond difference. Stateside, I understand the spelling to be "omelet"; in the Uk, and in Europe - it's omelette. I dunno. It wouldnt account for two variant spellings on the same MRE product bag. Most U.S food sites seem to spell it Omelette as well, although good ol Wiki gives both spellings at the...

Re: London riots

Thanks for the posts lads :) All is quiet in London for the second night. Trouble moved north to Birmingham, Salford and Manchester last night, but tonight all seems quiet. On monday night there was no police presence here in any meaningful sense, (only 1,200 officers for the whole of Greater London...

Re: WWII army K ration on ebay

Do you mean the brown, blue and green camouflage- like patterns? They are the late type "morale" K boxes, from 45. You smoked a cig from a K? :D  :!:  Yessir I did! The set of K's I have is indeed the morale set and if I'm not mistaken they came out in late 44 - I was definitely wro...

Re: London riots

No trouble so far ( its 11.20pm local time) trouble in Leeds and Manchester but London seems quiet.
The revolt of the kinder, not any political motive at all, except to steal the latest trainers and burn a building.

If this is the pattern of the future, lord help us all.

London riots

Its now the second evening. There was violence in my area last night, and all shops and businesses are boarded and have closed early.
Its a really strange atmosphere here.

Re: WWII army K ration on ebay

Not surprised really. It is the first "MRE", using 3 seperate boxed meals. Its a must have for any serious small museum -type collection. Actually its good that such a historical type is still so affordable, if you have a hundred and something quid to spare :) And it seems to be of a mid-war type, 4...

Re: Cross Of Iron (1977) Sam Peckinpah complete

Glad you liked it :) Its a cult film, I think, one of Peckinpahs last, and is highly unusual certainly for the 70s, to show the war from the German perspective. Love some of the non regulation Heer hairstyles  but equipment, uniforms and insignias seem 100% accurate and well researched. I want ...
