Last UGR for sale

Evening everybody, What I have is my last UGR tray dessert for sale. It is the 2016 chocolate cherry cake with cherry fruit topping. This serves 18 portions but there is no fruit packet on top. I managed acquire this one "as-is" but if somebody does buy this, I will throw in a lot of MRE sides for f...

Re: 1991 Meatballs, Beef and Rice in Tom. Sauce

Hmm, Yeah I had to do a double take on that one photo too. Seems like a white packaged RCW FD fruit got in there somehow. I'm starting to see this come about in the more modern MRE's. Not sure if the manufacturers' are just using leftover stock or their trying to go generic. I remember this entree's...

Re: New Items found in 2015 MRE's

Yup, I just opened the chicken chunks tonight for dinner from late 2015 and can confirm. Heating up the chunks in water (no FRH) helps quite a bit in my opinion. Buffalo sauce isn't too bad especially if you like a vinegary hot sauce and add the jalapeno cheese and you got yourself a party. Hmm, no...

Re: MRE 2018 Menus

Or maybe a FSR type pocket sandwich. I'll put money down and say that is what Natick is going with.

Re: Salad Bar

I'd give it a try, like one soldier mentioning it was getting a "Caesar granola bar". Just wish they had more flavors. While I have to agree with another poster there is a lack of vegetables, and nutrients in MRE's, so I give credit to Natick to trying to fill the gap on this. Rather than suck down ...

Hmm, Ok. I didn't know that. It does make a little bit sense.

New Items found in 2015 MRE's

Hey guys, I've noticed a few new or unusual items in some of the batches of MRE parts that I am getting in. These three items have been from 2015 menus'. 1) Buffalo Style Hot Sauce 2) Chili Lime Hot Sauce 3) Applesauce Cake TFF The applesauce cake was the only one with a Julian date on it but not th...

Re: Has anyone tried cooking a tin in an FRH?

LOL, Of course, I would have first guessed you had a older Primus stove or a German field cooker but since you were out for a day trip then a Esbit seems more practical. I'm curious do you still have that very early MRE heater for your Iltis wagon? I bought one off eBay some years ago but its ...

Re: Has anyone tried cooking a tin in an FRH?

Housil,

I'm curious what cooking stoves you guys used to heat your food?
