With much anticipation I tried my first chocolate dairy shake last night. After adding exactly 6oz. of cold water and shaking for what felt like 10 min. the shake was still unpalatably lumpy. The flavor itself was similar to frosting so I can see why it's used that way in many of the tips and tricks...

Re: Need a hand determining the age of a few MRE dishes.

See next time: http://www.mreinfo.com/us/mre/mre-date-codes.html  Well thanks, but I think you missed the part of the question. What I’m wondering is: Where the dark green retort pouches in use after the outer bag color change possibly even as late as 1999-2001 or did the retort pouches chang...

Need a hand determining the age of a few MRE dishes.

Hey Guys, I'm trying to determine the age of a few dark green bagged meals\side dishes. I had thought they where 1999-2001 but if the bag color change was in 1996, then they are 1989-1991. They have the following date codes: WHITE RICE: 9091 CHEESE TORT IN TOM SAUCE: 9089 CHICKEN W/CAV..: 1226 They ...

Just a couple of words about TheEpicenter.com.

Just a couple of words about TheEpicenter.com. I placed an order with this company last week after looking around for some new production MRE heaters. TheEpicenter.com also had some sides and snacks I wanted to try to I put in a small order. Upon checking out I found the option to have them call for...

ISO: 2 cases of 2007-2008 production Menu A & B.

Ok, I know it's usually in bad form to ask for sources in ones first week, [punishable by thumb-screws I think] but hopefully y'all will let me slide, just this once. I'm looking for 2 cases of 2007-2008 production Menu A & B. If at all possible I'd like to avoid eBay: I bought my first case off eBa...

More datecode questions.

Can anyone say if Menu Cs or MREs in general are normally made up with such a wide range of date codes? It's kind of a bummer to think that some of the items will probably expire before others, and there is no way of knowing that the actual dates are until you open the individual bags.

How would you compare the "Penne Pasta w/Spicy Vegetable Sausage" with the MRE-Star "Pasta w/Marinara Sauce and Veggie Crumbles" that you reviewed earlier? Basically the same except for the pasta shape and snacks? That's a good question, the two meals where very different in flavor. Ignoring the si...
