Re: Damaged MRE pouches

One thing that will make many plastics get brittle is UV. Any chance they may have been exposed to a lot of direct sun light?

Re: Wornick Eversafe MREs - OK to buy

I am never able to understand the thinking that goes into the menu choices for the civilian MREs. I give Wornick's credit because they do provide crackers to put the peanut butter and cheese spreads on. Some of the civilian MRE throw in a pack of jam or cheese to pump up the calorie count but provid...

It's not a law, just an agreement among competitors to help eliminate confusion among the unwashed masses.

Re: Heater Meals Coffee

How bizarre! I was looking at the pic of Nescafe Blend 37 and I noticed that the label had a green background. Here in the US a green background is reserved for decaffeinated coffees. Regular caffeinated is always uses a red background.

Re: Heater Meals Coffee

Our local Publix Supermarket has a small British section that carries the Nescafe Gold. I am going to pick up some tomorrow and give it a try.

Mostly, I am assuming that I will just be paying a premium for Taster's Choice imported from the UK, but what the Hell? Life should be an adventure!
