Re: Remembering Family Heros

Here's a few of my family uniforms from WW2. Your browser should "right them" the correct way when opening the attachment. The first photo with the USARPAC insignia (blue background, stars and red arrow) is of my grandfathers. He was an enlisted man that served in the 8th service command in the US b...

Re: Spanish Breakfast #3 Video

Yes, Great job Viper! Thanks for the shout outs. Honestly, that was a wholesome as apple pie review. Really bummed out about your chocolate though, that looked pretty rough. Mine was in perfect shape and came from the same batch! What the heck! Looks like you need a tray! There's so many different v...

Re: Canadian Rations Upcoming Updates.

Smitty! Right on. Great info! Thanks. I like the lunch bag look of the IMP's  but I think it does seem inconvenient to have to logistically carry/supply the FRH's separately. So, I definitely see that change happening. As convenient as those 3-1's are... if you're a fan of creamer and sugar. Ju...

Those are probably early 80's. I have an 82 that is identical from the same manufacturer. Looks great! Killer find!

Re: Tell me about this MRE

Cant help you for sure but just wanted to say I'm interested too! Heres my amateur guess: Looks like the original brown bag version 81-95. Chicken and Rice showed up in 1988 and the brown bag stayed till about 1995. So just guessing a 88-95 Chicken and Rice no print MRE. :D

Re: MCW’s, what’s your favorite menu??

Beef stroganoff is really good, I also like quite a lot the seafood chowder, it's quite similar to a spanish dish I ate as a kid so it has a home feeling for me Whoa. Finally tried a seafood chowder last night for first time. Added 13 ounces of water instead of recommended 16. I have to say that is...

Re: MCW’s, what’s your favorite menu??

I just tried a 2018 Menu #2 Spicy Oriental Chicken with Rice. Absolutely amazing. I made it with the 12-13 ounces as recommended - totally the right call guys. Can confirm. 1 - 580 calories of basically delicious chinese food with the Oriental Chicken with Rice entree. Large portion. Not spicy at al...

I was just joking around about the night light, but Steve gets the rarest items that exist. He, and a few other guys, are why 80% of us are on mreinfo.
HAHA! Yep, can confirm. :D

Super cool display... can imagine that this is a small taste of what Steve and Co's ration museum will be like!
